Sourcing Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation and implementation of our sourcing strategy for Chemicals and Contract Manufacturing, starting from RFI/RFP development.

• Direct supplier negotiations and manage global stakeholders leading to business awards and the execution of Master Agreements.

• Act as the departmental leader for COST and SERVICE enhancement initiatives, collaborating closely with each sourcing and purchasing team member.

• Effectively lead and execute continuous improvement projects with key strategic suppliers to support Business Transformation objectives, including cost reductions, shortened lead times, lowered minimum order quantities, increased inventory turnover, and enhanced processes.

• Identify and implement strategies for risk mitigation and supply security to avert disruptions in critical supply chains.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Logistics.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing within the Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, or Consumer Packaged Goods CHEMICAL sourcing sectors is preferred.

• Proven experience in managing the RFI/RFP process through to Supplier Business award and Contract Negotiation is essential.

• Strong knowledge of cost drivers and the ability to apply this understanding during negotiations, strategy development, and the pursuit of cost improvement opportunities.
