Procurement Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for designated spend categories.

• Identify, assess, and negotiate with suppliers concerning pricing, terms, and contracts.

• Oversee purchase orders, expedite processes, and coordinate deliveries.

• Monitor expenditures against budgets by category, vendor, and cost center; communicate variances to Finance leadership.

• Collaborate with FP&A on procurement forecasting, budget preparation, and cost-saving objectives.

• Work with Accounting/AP on invoice matching, accruals, and month-end closing related to procurement expenses.

• Establish and uphold procurement policies, approval processes, and spending controls.

• Collaborate with Legal and business partners to ensure procurement aligns with company objectives.

• Aid in maintaining audit readiness and internal controls, including SOX compliance, for procurement and vendor expenditures.

• Address issues related to supplier quality, delivery, and invoicing.

• Discover cost-saving opportunities and promote ongoing process enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in procurement.

• Background in strategic sourcing and vendor contract negotiations across various spend categories.

• Demonstrated experience in designing procurement processes, policies, and systems from inception.

• Experience managing RFPs and vendor selection processes on behalf of business stakeholders.

• Proven experience collaborating with Security, Compliance, and Legal on vendor risk assessments.

• Ability to navigate significant ambiguity and create structure in unstructured environments.

• Familiarity with AI tools.

• Previous experience in a procurement role integrated within Finance.

• Knowledge of AP/invoice processes, accruals, or audit/SOX controls.
