Sourcing Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.

📋 Description

• Perform in-depth analysis of markets, supply chains, and the supplier base.

• Utilize analysis to enhance sourcing process initiatives.

• Identify qualified suppliers and carry out source selection processes.

• Regularly interface with suppliers to foster and maintain relationships.

• Source specialized items and implement sophisticated sourcing strategies to achieve optimal cost, quality, and relationships.

• Independently conduct sourcing activities with consideration for the complete supply-chain impact.

• Implement sourcing tactics in alignment with category and commodity strategies.

• Engage in the formulation of sourcing and category/commodity strategies.

• Analyze sourcing and procurement initiatives and associated processes.

• Prepare and present recommendations along with alternative actions to senior procurement and sourcing leadership.

• Ensure the consistent application of sourcing procedures and processes.

• Assist with price benchmarking, vendor management, industry and market analysis, process analysis, and model building.

• May lead sourcing analysts and specialists.

• Oversee analysis projects and mentor less experienced analysts and specialists.

• Negotiate select contracts.

• Cultivate and maintain effective supplier relationships.

• Manage procurement ethics, supplier contracts, supplier relationship management, category strategy, cost/value management, and supply-base risk.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in procurement and supplier quality management (SQE).

• Experience in purchasing precision machining or mechanical system components.

• Leadership experience in cross-functional collaboration.

• Prior experience in providing procurement support for large projects such as new product introductions or localization projects is preferred.

• Expertise in precision machining processes and supplier management.

• Familiarity with knowledge related to mechanical system assemblies (e.g., shock absorbers, brakes, belt systems).

• Understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supply chain operations.

• Strong proficiency in English communication to support global project coordination.

• Proficient in using data analysis and procurement management tools.

• Hold a college, university, or equivalent degree in a field relevant to the required function.

• This position may necessitate licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

• Intermediate level of related work experience is required.
