Sourcing Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kazakhstan.

📋 Description

• Evaluate the technical intricacies of components and parts to facilitate precise sourcing and manufacturing assessments.

• Analyze technical specifications, drawings, requirements, and project documentation to pinpoint manufacturing considerations.

• Determine appropriate manufacturing capabilities and providers for intricate parts and projects.

• Assign and uphold technical tags for the accurate classification of parts and manufacturing specifications.

• Examine technical details within quotations for thoroughness, precision, and compliance with customer needs.

• Recognize technical discrepancies or issues and collaborate with relevant teams to address them.

• Provide technical input and manufacturing expertise to support complex projects and critical agreements.

• Engage in discussions with clients and manufacturing partners to clarify requirements and tackle technical obstacles.

• Convey technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ensure coherence between customer expectations, manufacturing capabilities, and sourcing solutions.

• Work alongside engineering, sourcing, sales, and internal teams for effective project execution.

• Disseminate technical knowledge and best practices while contributing to the continuous enhancement of sourcing processes.

• Offer technical guidance and expertise to junior team members as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced technical education, ideally in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.

• Prior experience in a manufacturing setting involving complex products, parts, or components.

• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, technical drawings, part specifications, and the complexity of components.

• Experience collaborating with suppliers, manufacturers, sourcing teams, engineering teams, or technical procurement is advantageous.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in English at B1-B2 level.

• Strong analytical abilities with a knack for identifying and resolving technical issues.

• Capacity to handle multiple projects, tasks, and priorities efficiently in a dynamic environment.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, sourcing, sales, and operations teams.

• Capability to perform under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
