This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Act as the main technical point of contact for designated products, leading teams through build planning, sprint execution, and release processes.
• Spearhead solution architecture planning and execution, ensuring Solution Architecture Packages encompass business, systems, application, and data architectures.
• Create and revise AS-IS and TO-BE Architecture Models utilizing VA-prescribed DoDAF and UAF formats.
• Establish solution-level roadmaps and keep product-specific data models up to date.
• Direct product execution by managing requirements, refining solutions, and aligning efforts with planned KPIs during PI execution.
• Supervise interface development and integration control, including ICR registration and Interface Control Documents for new integrations.
• Ensure the functionality and compliance of automated build and CI/CD pipeline capabilities with VA TRM-approved tools.
• Assist in ATO maintenance through security scanning, remediation, and A&A artifact updates within build planning timelines.
• Offer technical leadership for Tier II/III troubleshooting and ongoing support.
• Work in collaboration with the Enterprise/Solution Architect to synchronize product work with the HELM-wide SAFe Architectural Runway.
• Aid in PI Planning, backlog refinement, and requirements elaboration; break down Epics into Features and User Stories.
• Contribute technical insights to Requirements Analysis Proposals, including LOE estimates, skill set suggestions, and risk identification.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field, accompanied by 13 years of relevant experience.
• Over 7 years of technical experience in software development and systems integration, including at least 2 years in a technical lead position on federal programs.
• Proven experience with SAFe Agile, DevSecOps, and hybrid SDLC methodologies.
• Proficient with approved development and collaboration tools such as GitHub, Jira, and ServiceNow.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, VAEC) and container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Familiarity with VA enterprise systems and integration patterns (FHIR, REST APIs, ESB/EAI, VistA, Oracle Health EHR).
• Understanding of VA TRM, ATO/A&A processes, and the VA DevSecOps Release Framework.
• Excellent communication skills; capable of articulating complex technical concepts to VA stakeholders and non-technical audiences.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
• Preferred certifications include SAFe Architect (ARCH), SAFe Agilist (SA), Red Hat Certified Specialist or Architect in OpenShift, AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Azure Solutions Architect, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
