This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee system integration projects by collaborating with customer development teams, Samsara partners, third-party systems integrators, or working independently using Samsara web integration technologies.
• Create and refine intricate project scopes, technical specifications, and business requirements from the design phase through to delivery.
• Organize complex projects that involve multiple participants, dependencies, uncertainties, risks, and impacts.
• Ensure technical designs consider maintainability, portability, scalability, and reliability.
• Develop a robust and scalable integration architecture for real-time data streaming, event subscriptions, and batch processing.
• Construct, test, validate, and review code to ensure complete and high-quality deliverables.
• Provide guidance and document integration best practices utilizing Samsara APIs and products.
• Perform comprehensive code reviews and offer actionable feedback.
• Disseminate best practices and knowledge within Samsara’s product team and developer community.
• Advocate for an excellent customer experience and collaborate with the Developer Ecosystem team to enhance API features.
• Contribute to methodologies and tools for Professional Services.
• Uphold and promote Samsara’s cultural principles as the company expands globally.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and developing integration solutions using established architecture methodologies.
• Proven experience in gathering data integration requirements and converting them into technical data designs.
• Proficient in writing, reading, and understanding Python, along with one additional programming language, such as JavaScript or AppScript.
• Skilled in using LLM-based tools for code generation, prompt engineering, automation, and enhancing developer productivity.
• Familiarity with agentic workflows, including the design, orchestration, and deployment of multi-agent systems for enterprise applications.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in developing solutions using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Practical experience in building or engaging with RESTful APIs, webhooks, and contemporary databases.
• Experience managing customer evaluations and deployments, handling multiple customer engagements simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee complex projects involving stakeholders, including C-level executives.
• Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in using GitHub for version control and collaboration.
• Familiarity with modern Agile tools, such as Jira and Confluence.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of customer-facing experience in building and supporting enterprise-scale integrations or API scripting is preferred.
• Knowledge of B2B system integration projects and workflows.
• Consistent track record of configuring and deploying complex technical solutions.
• Experience with hardware gadgets, sensors, or vehicles is a plus.
• Familiarity with fleets and logistics is advantageous.
• Understanding of vehicle diagnostic systems is beneficial.
