Solutions Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and cultivate a team of mid-market Solutions Engineers.

• Provide training, coaching, mentorship, and guidance to team members to enhance their performance, career advancement, and personal development.

• Mentor Solutions Engineers on technical expertise and sales proficiency, including discovery processes, articulating business value, POC strategies, and executive communications.

• Collaborate with engineering teams from advanced technology companies.

• Assist organizations in enhancing their security, compliance, and development experiences.

• Visit client sites to showcase new features and develop solutions.

• Conduct structured one-on-one meetings and establish individual performance objectives.

• Oversee career development initiatives for each Solutions Engineer.

• Collaborate with regional sales leaders and Account Executives to optimize utilization, prioritize opportunities, and increase technical win rates across the Americas and eastern Asia Pacific.

• Engage with executive and technical architect-level clients to foster long-term relationships and ensure technical success post-sale.

• Strategically interface with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing a team of Solutions Engineers or technical customer-facing professionals.

• A history of talent development and enhancing team performance.

• Strong expertise in pre-sales discovery, technical qualification, POC design, and linking technical capabilities to business results.

• Experience overseeing customer outcomes from sales through onboarding, adoption, and growth phases.

• In-depth knowledge of Linux networking and network security principles.

• Practical experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.

• Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Familiarity with SSO, OIDC, SAML, RBAC, mTLS, zero trust architecture, and PAM.

• Experience navigating complex infrastructure deployments within security-conscious enterprise organizations.

• Strong troubleshooting and debugging capabilities for server-side software and distributed systems.

• Fluency in English is required.

• Additional language proficiency in Korean, Japanese, Spanish, or Portuguese is a plus.

• Willingness to travel to customer locations.
