Solutions Engineer – State, Local, Educational

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Showcase Skydio's comprehensive solutions for public safety sUAS operations across a range of state and local government agencies.

• Collaborate with public safety organizations to identify their needs and create customized drone solutions.

• Perform product demonstrations and incorporate technology into customer operations as well as data management systems.

• Assist with integrations involving CAD, dispatch, video management, evidence management, and streaming platforms.

• Ensure high-quality site assessments and confirm dock locations prior to deployment.

• Conduct structured proofs of concept linked to active opportunities with quantifiable operational benefits.

• Support BVLOS approvals, waivers, COAs, and both remote and docked operations.

• Collect and analyze customer feedback to drive product enhancements.

• Collaborate across various functions with Key Account Leaders, Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams.

• Develop and implement Customer Success Plans.

• Facilitate deal progression, enhance customer confidence, ensure successful deployments, and contribute to the long-term success of public safety sUAS programs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experienced Public Safety sUAS professional.

• Strong grasp of drone technology, Public Safety sUAS operations, and regulatory compliance.

• Knowledge of Drone as First Responder operational concepts and dock-based remote operations.

• Familiarity with public safety software platforms, including CAD and VMS.

• Understanding of API integrations.

• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities in high-pressure environments.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Comfortable working within a Sales organization.

• Active FAA Part 107 Certificate.

• Willingness to travel 50 to 75% of the time.

• Capability to lift up to 60 lbs without assistance.

• Prior experience in public safety as a sworn officer, firefighter, or agency UAS program leader is a plus.

• Experience establishing a Drone as First Responder program from waiver to go-live is advantageous.

• Experience with dock-based, remote, and BVLOS operations at scale is beneficial.

• Familiarity with grant funding pathways and cooperative purchasing vehicles is desirable.

• Working knowledge of Salesforce, Palantir, Databricks, or similar platforms is a plus.
