This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Collaborate with Account Executives on technical discovery, architectural validation, and qualification for high-value financial services and premier accounts.
• Provide customized product demonstrations.
• Create architectural designs that translate intricate technical capabilities into business value and risk mitigation.
• Lead and manage technical Proofs of Concept.
• Navigate data residency issues, security compliance frameworks, and reach consensus among multiple stakeholders.
• Supply field intelligence and technical insights to Cisco and Splunk Product Management.
• Assist in shaping roadmap priorities and enhance the adoption of the blended Cisco/Splunk portfolio.
• Act as a technical expert and trusted advisor to CISOs, VPs of Engineering, and IT executives.
• Design cybersecurity, observability, and data platform solutions for regulated enterprise accounts.
• At least 5 years of experience in technical pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, or customer-facing systems engineering supporting enterprise or regulated accounts, or a Master’s degree plus 3 years / PhD.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on technical experience with at least two of the following: SIEM/SOC operations; IT/DevOps observability; regulatory compliance frameworks.
• At least 2 years of experience in architecting or analyzing native logging, monitoring, and security telemetry across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in scoping and leading technical Proofs of Concept, creating technical RFP/RFI responses, and defending enterprise architecture designs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical professional experience.
• Proficient in writing Search Processing Language (SPL) queries and have practical experience with Splunk Cloud/Enterprise architectures, Enterprise Security (ES), or IT Service Intelligence (ITSI).
• Familiarity with data routing and pipeline optimization tools such as Cribl Stream, Kafka, or Edge Processor.
• Experience with architectural cost optimization techniques.
• Capable of presenting complex architectural and risk-reduction strategies to CISOs, CTOs, and technical procurement committees.
• Background in co-selling within large matrixed sales organizations, channel partners, and professional services/CSM ecosystems.
• Experience with REST APIs, infrastructure-as-code automation tools like Ansible/Terraform, or certifications such as CISSP, CCNA/CCNP, or Splunk Certified Consultant.
