This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee, +1 more state.
• Develop high-performing, scalable applications that meet enterprise-grade standards through full-stack development expertise.
• Engage in the analysis, development, configuration, testing, implementation, and support of software applications.
• Analyze, configure, develop, test, document, and implement both new and existing applications and solutions.
• Assist in application and architecture design, design patterns, and adherence to development technology standards.
• Support change management protocols and corporate regulations.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to advance business objectives and drive continuous improvement.
• Identify enhancements in the development environment, best practices, and team dynamics.
• Detect and resolve application and technical challenges.
• Recognize and share lessons learned throughout the process.
• Adapt to emerging technologies, interfaces, and frameworks.
• Deliver high-quality solutions aimed at enhancing customer experience and operational excellence.
• Apply principles of scalability, enterprise thinking, and emerging technologies to address business challenges.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience is mandatory.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience is required.
• Proficiency with database technologies and CRUD concepts.
• Fundamental skills in database tuning.
• Experience with unit, integration, and acceptance testing.
• Basic knowledge of unit testing packages and concepts, automated testing, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Proven professional experience in utilizing application design patterns and selection.
• Experience working within an Agile team environment, preferably Scrum, as an actively engaged team member.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Mastery in at least one development language utilized at Brookdale.
• Basic understanding of at least one additional development language used at Brookdale.
• Demonstrated knowledge in at least one Brookdale business area and a fundamental understanding of others.
• Willingness and capability to understand the business and its customers.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Capability to interact effectively with co-workers, residents, or vendors.
