Solutions Engineer – Federal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee technical engagements and strategic direction for designated Federal Civilian agencies.

• Collaborate with Sales Account Executives to address complex business and technology challenges faced by customers.

• Recommend technology solutions tailored to customer requirements while supporting quota achievement.

• Ensure customer success through effective engagements, solution adoption, and optimal utilization of Cisco products and solutions.

• Navigate dynamic internal and external demands by utilizing strong time-management capabilities.

• Develop expertise across Routing, Switching, Security, Data Center, and Collaboration technologies.

• Engage in quarterly training, certifications, and knowledge sharing initiatives.

• Travel to connect with customers and facilitate engagements.

• Utilize Cisco technology and an assigned AI Agent to enhance productivity and reach critical objectives.

• Work collaboratively with team members and share knowledge across various technology domains.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.

• Extensive knowledge of Routing and Switching, including BGP, OSPF, VXLAN Fabric technologies, along with deployment, architectural, and operational insights.

• Minimum of five years of sales engineering experience.

• Willingness to travel for customer meetings is mandatory.

• Fundamental understanding of Security and Collaboration technologies.

• Capability to discuss Zero Trust, Voice, and Collaboration solutions and their integration with campus, Data Center, and WAN architectures.

• Familiarity with APIs and their application in automating operational enhancements.

• Residency in Washington DC, Maryland, or Northern Virginia is strongly preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

• Preferred deep-dive skills in Routing, Switching, Security, and Data Center.

• Experience with Federal Civilian Agencies is advantageous.

• Preferred ability to lead discussions in a group setting.

• Background with large, complex Enterprise Architectures is a plus.

• CCIE certification in Route/Switch, Security, or Data Center is preferred.

• Good working knowledge of cloud solutions is advantageous.

• Preferred ability to guide teams through challenges while focusing on customer success.
