This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Transform real business challenges at Nerdio into prototypes, automation solutions, and internal applications.
• Explore and experiment with innovative AI models, APIs, frameworks, SDKs, and developer tools.
• Develop proofs of concept, collect feedback, and evaluate which ideas merit further development.
• Create AI-driven workflows, agents, and internal tools.
• Integrate AI systems with internal business platforms and relevant data sources.
• Assess AI behavior, investigate potential failure modes, and enhance system reliability.
• Develop and sustain features across internal web applications.
• Construct APIs, backend services, integrations, dashboards, and user-facing functionalities.
• Troubleshoot issues throughout the application stack and engage in code review processes.
• Deploy and manage applications within Microsoft Azure.
• Utilize GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines for development processes.
• Assist in diagnosing deployment and production-related issues.
• Write queries and manage relational data utilized in dashboards, reporting, and AI applications.
• Identify data quality concerns and enhance application data utilization.
• Collaborate directly with Sales, Customer Success, Support, Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Security teams.
• Demonstrate tools and features to internal users, gather their feedback, and contribute to documentation efforts.
• Learn and adhere to best practices regarding identity, authentication, secrets management, permissions, data handling, dependencies, and application security.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on technical experience.
• Proven capability to develop software through coursework, internships, personal projects, open-source contributions, employment, or similar experiences.
• Proficient in at least one modern programming language.
• Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript is particularly beneficial.
• Basic understanding of APIs, databases, web applications, and fundamental software development concepts.
• Familiarity with Git and source control practices.
• Experience with contemporary AI tools for technical tasks or a strong desire to learn about AI-assisted software development.
• Competence in reading code, understanding its functionality, and troubleshooting issues.
• Strong curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with others.
• Comfortable receiving feedback, asking questions, and iterating rapidly.
• Must be a US Person or possess valid work authorization that does not necessitate sponsorship.
