Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Conduct in-depth customer discovery sessions to grasp their needs, reveal industry challenges, and pinpoint opportunities for added value.

• Develop, tailor, and showcase solutions utilizing Versapay’s application suite and partner technologies.

• Collaborate with customers and prospects to align their business requirements with the capabilities of Versapay’s technology.

• Offer technical expertise during RFIs/RFPs, suggest customized configurations and integrations, and effectively address any objections.

• Keep up-to-date with product, sales, and technical knowledge through ongoing training and certifications.

• Work alongside management to establish and meet quarterly and annual objectives.

• Engage in cross-functional collaboration with product, sales, and customer success teams.

• Occasionally travel across the US and Canada to connect with clients and partners, attend conferences, and foster relationships.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 3+ years of experience as a Solution Engineer, Sales Engineer, or in a similar consultative role within a Financial Technology company or related sector.

• Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable, Payments, or comparable financial processes.

• Experience in enterprise-level selling and roles that involve direct customer interaction.

• Familiarity with mid-market to enterprise-level accounting platforms such as Oracle NetSuite, Sage Intacct, and Microsoft Dynamics 365.

• Knowledge of JavaScript, REST APIs, HTML5/CSS, and SQL is advantageous.

• Understanding of cybersecurity principles is a plus.

• Outstanding oral and written communication skills, with the capacity to simplify complex ideas and present confidently to diverse audiences.

• Proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects, and deliver results under tight deadlines.

• Willingness to travel across the US and Canada as necessary.
