Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage early in the sales cycle for API and web application projects to evaluate technical compatibility and scope.

• Take ownership of the Statement of Work (SOW) review for the implementation of APIs and web applications.

• Assist in the implementation process for API and web application clients.

• Act as the escalation point for API-related Zendesk inquiries, addressing the API knowledge gap within the Support team.

• Facilitate upselling and solution discussions with current API clients.

• Collaborate with Sales, Implementation, Engineering, and Support teams to ensure API-related commitments are clear and on schedule.

• Manage the API layer comprehensively as part of a new role within the Engineering team.

• Convert customers' integration requirements into practical platform solutions throughout the sales and implementation phases.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or comparable pre-sales position within B2B SaaS.

• Good understanding of APIs and integrations; capable of outlining integration needs and engaging confidently with technical stakeholders without extensive backend engineering knowledge.

• Experience in outlining or reviewing statements of work (SOW) with clients.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities; comfortable interacting with customers from the outset.

• Ability to navigate uncertainty in a role that is still being shaped.

• Focused on customer retention.

• Self-motivated individual who can create structure in a role with limited existing guidelines.

• Strong cross-functional communication skills with clients, sales, and engineering teams.
