This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a technical liaison for electric utility clients.
• Convert transmission planning and operational issues into precisely defined LineVision solutions.
• Lead scoping studies and profiling assessments.
• Develop and present technical deliverables for pre-sales activities, from initial discovery to business case formulation.
• Represent LineVision at IEEE, CIGRE, and various industry events.
• Contribute to the creation of white papers and technical presentations.
• Provide structured customer insights to the Product and Engineering teams.
• Complete onboarding regarding LineVision’s platform, sensor technology, and Dynamic Line Rating methodology.
• Observe and assist in pre-sales meetings, then autonomously create scoping deliverables.
• Analyze data from previous customer implementations.
• Manage technical workstreams for assigned pre-sales projects from scoping to handoff.
• Conduct technical deep dives and network-level scope review sessions with utility engineering teams.
• Function as an independent technical lead on medium-sized customer projects.
• Assist in enhancing scoping tools, templates, and processes.
• Collaborate with Sales, Client Success, and Product teams.
• Report directly to the Senior Solutions Engineering Manager.
• Educational background in electrical engineering, power systems, or utility transmission operations.
• Experience in translating technical analysis into actionable business recommendations for utility stakeholders.
• Strong skills in communication and presentation.
• Proficient in data analysis.
• Direct experience in transmission planning, operations, or grid optimization within a utility or consulting environment (preferred candidate distinction).
• Proven ability to produce external technical documentation, including white papers, conference presentations, or contributions to IEEE/CIGRE (preferred candidate distinction).
• History of managing multiple customer engagements simultaneously with a high level of independence.
• Familiarity with Dynamic Line Ratings or grid-enhancing technologies.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations approximately 25% of the time.
