Solutions Engineer – Agents & Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement enterprise agent solutions utilizing Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, and Microsoft 365 Copilot Agent Builder.

• Facilitate agent governance and lifecycle management via Agent 365.

• Construct and deploy custom-engine agents, encompassing model selection, orchestration, grounding, evaluation, tool and function integration, and enterprise connectivity.

• Assist customers in the hands-on delivery of agent solutions, including DLP policies, environment and AI readiness assessments, use-case identification, and governance.

• Oversee agent governance implementation across Power Platform, Azure, and associated services.

• Design and enforce security and compliance controls using Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Entra Agent ID.

• Establish enterprise agent governance, ALM, connector governance, solution packaging, auditing, and lifecycle management practices.

• Convert business requirements into workflows, automations, integrations, and extensibility patterns.

• Implement governance and ALM capabilities for Power Platform, including managed environments, DLP policies, pipelines, approval workflows, and administrator enablement.

• Define agent architectures that align with customer needs.

• Guide teams on agent design, governance, evaluation, observability, audit readiness, analytics, and continuous enhancement.

• Create reusable reference architectures, design patterns, solution templates, and implementation guides.

• Assist customers in evaluating and adopting new Microsoft Frontier agent capabilities.

• Apply FinOps practices, such as credit planning, cost-benefit analysis, usage forecasting, consumption monitoring, and cost optimization.

• Utilize Visual Studio Code, GitHub Copilot, coding assistants, and the Agent 365 SDK to develop and troubleshoot solutions.

• Conduct agent evaluations to enhance behavior, reliability, grounding quality, and user experience.

• Design grounding and retrieval architectures leveraging enterprise data sources, Azure AI Search, Microsoft Graph, MCP Servers, Dataverse, and secure data access protocols.

• Implement responsible AI and safety controls, including testing, evaluation criteria, risk assessment, content moderation, and human oversight.

• Communicate intricate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Create and present workshops, discussions, and technical presentations.

• Coordinate workstreams, monitor decisions and action items, and ensure timely completion of commitments.

• Foster relationships with customers, partners, Microsoft stakeholders, and internal delivery teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of four years of experience delivering solutions on Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Azure, or related Microsoft cloud technologies, with hands-on experience in AI or agent-based solutions.

• Practical experience in developing production agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio and Microsoft Foundry.

• Experience designing or implementing declarative and embedded agent experiences across Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Power Platform.

• Familiarity with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Fx, and YAML.

• Strong understanding of agent architecture, governance, security, and lifecycle management.

• Ability to serve as a technical advisor and Subject Matter Expert (SME).

• Working knowledge of prompt design, evaluation, monitoring, and responsible AI practices.

• Familiarity with design-led or human-centered methodologies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Willingness to travel to SHI, Partner, and Customer events.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with sales, delivery, engineering, and leadership stakeholders.

• Commitment to ongoing learning and skill enhancement.

• Strong ethical standards and adherence to data privacy, governance, compliance, and security policies.

• Relevant certifications may include AB-900, PL-600, AB-100, AI-103, or equivalent experience.
