This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Formulate a technology strategy in collaboration with Federal executives, business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and key stakeholders.
• Establish trust and build strong relationships with business stakeholders to grasp their concerns and mission objectives.
• Conduct meetings with senior client leadership to ascertain the current state, processes, requirements, challenges, aspirations, and goals.
• Identify business needs and create solution strategies, architecture, and approaches along with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and team members.
• Create governance frameworks, operating models, concepts of operations (CONOPS), and procedures.
• Develop prototypes and proofs-of-concept utilizing data, technology, and low-code/no-code platforms.
• Assess technology platforms and alternatives, presenting findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Document existing and future architecture diagrams, business process flows, flow charts, and decision trees.
• Spearhead cross-team initiatives to foster coordination, collaboration, alignment, and execution.
• Engage in project discussions and team meetings, including daily standups and review sessions.
• Execute hands-on coding and infrastructure tasks as necessary.
• Provide architectural leadership for secure and scalable solutions leveraging Java, Kotlin, TypeScript, Oracle, SQL Server, and AWS GovCloud.
• Counsel clients on technology strategy, IT engineering, service management, SaaS platforms, and application modernization.
• Advocate for technology best practices and standards alongside technical leadership, architects, and service delivery teams.
• Enhance the performance and reliability of public-facing, mission-critical applications.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Over 8 years of experience in leading technology consulting projects with clients.
• More than 8 years of experience in developing solution architecture and enterprise architecture artifacts.
• Experience in leading an Authority to Operate (ATO) in an IL-4/IL-5 Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
• At least 3 years of experience in building and deploying applications on AWS Cloud.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Active Top Secret Clearance (Interim TS will be considered).
• AWS Solutions Architect certification.
• Experience in creating full-stack applications with Java, PHP, JavaScript, or Python.
• Familiarity with Node.js, React JS, and Angular frameworks.
• Experience working in Agile and Scaled Agile teams.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture, serverless architecture, and automated testing.
• Understanding of web services, associated standards, distributed architecture design patterns, and best practices.
