Solutions Architect – SDDC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist customers with the implementation of software-defined data center infrastructure automation following sales.

• Conduct low-level architectural design, systems engineering, migrations, deployments, upgrades, and integrations.

• Design and implement VMware VCF, VCF Automation, VCF Operations, virtualization, vSAN, storage, SAN, disaster recovery, NSX, virtual networking, backup solutions, ransomware resiliency, and hyper-converged systems.

• Lead projects and workshops as the technical lead and subject matter expert.

• Oversee project activities and maintain accountability for results.

• Collaborate with sales and presales teams to explore customer needs, scoping, and professional services opportunities.

• Provide configuration and upgrade services within customer environments.

• Engage in presales discussions and design service engagements and planning.

• Mentor and provide guidance to architects and consultants.

• Offer technical leadership during presales and post-sales processes.

• Stay updated on industry trends and contribute to the long-term strategy of infrastructure practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in solutions architecture or infrastructure-related roles.

• Over 7 years of experience with VMware and its associated product suite in enterprise settings.

• 8 to 10+ years of technical experience with escalating responsibilities.

• Required certification: VCP – VMware Cloud Foundation Administrator or VCP – VMware Cloud Foundation Architect.

• Optional certifications: VCAP – VMware Cloud Foundation Automation, VCAP – VMware Cloud Foundation Operations, or VCAP – VMware Cloud Foundation Architect.

• Willingness to travel occasionally.

• Comprehensive understanding of virtualization technologies and the software-defined data center.

• Strong skills in troubleshooting, analytics, research, written and verbal communication, organization, and project management.

• A consultative approach to implementing enterprise architecture.
