Solutions Architect, Public Sector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as a trusted advisor to U.S. government clients regarding GitLab Enterprise Edition and DevSecOps solutions.

• Manage the technical evaluation and validation phases of the sales process.

• Assist clients in conducting proofs of concept and proofs of value.

• Interact with public sector clients both onsite and remotely through customized demonstrations, technical presentations, and interactive workshops.

• Partner with the sales team to develop and implement account strategies that promote GitLab adoption in governmental settings.

• Create and deliver POCs and POVs, support tenders and audits, and provide technical insights for proposals.

• Lead Customer Success Plans that document technical success criteria and details for pre-sales transitions.

• Cultivate relationships with both technical and business stakeholders to develop GitLab advocates.

• Relay customer feedback to Product, Sales, Marketing, and other departments.

• Maintain a high level of expertise in GitLab, software development, operations, cloud practices, and create reusable assets for customers and partners.

• Conduct Value Stream Assessments to uncover opportunities for enhancing software delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or IT roles, preferably with U.S. public sector or federal clients.

• Practical experience utilizing GitLab.

• Knowledge of contemporary software development and operations methodologies, including CI/CD, DevSecOps, and automation.

• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and associated technologies in regulated or security-sensitive environments.

• Capability to link technical solutions to quantifiable business or mission results.

• Proficiency in advising senior stakeholders on trade-offs and options.

• Strong, confident communication skills and aptitude for building relationships.

• Ability to lead customer meetings, demonstrations, and discussions focused on value.

• Willingness to learn, seek feedback, and develop new skills.

• Awareness of GitLab's Solutions Architect handbook and related materials.
