Solution Architect – Workday Procure to Pay

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the Procure-to-Pay architecture and strategic roadmap across the enterprise Workday framework.

• Act as the functional architect for Workday Procurement, Workday Strategic Sourcing, Workday Expenses, and VNDLY.

• Spearhead the design, configuration, and implementation of scalable P2P solutions.

• Collect stakeholder requirements and document the solution architecture.

• Oversee Workday configuration to ensure consistency, stability, and alignment with best practices.

• Provide expert-level functional support across procurement, sourcing, supplier management, and expenses.

• Manage operational oversight, including triage, root cause analysis, and permanent fixes.

• Identify and implement enhancements that improve compliance, efficiency, and user experience.

• Ensure alignment with VNDLY, Finance, AP, and HR systems.

• Monitor the Workday roadmap and release cycles; assess features and lead planning for rollouts.

• Advise on the strategic adoption of new capabilities.

• Serve as a liaison between procurement, finance, IT, HR, and external partners.

• Collaborate with integration teams on functional design and data flows.

• Mentor analysts and SMEs in Workday configuration and process design.

• Maintain functional documentation, including SOPs and configuration notes.

• Lead UAT planning, regression testing, and production validation.

• Ensure that P2P processes are compliant with audit standards and internal controls.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6-8 years of functional experience with Workday, focusing on Procurement, WSS, Expenses, and Financials.

• Hands-on experience with the implementation and support of Workday Strategic Sourcing, Workday Expenses, VNDLY, and Workday Procurement.

• Strong understanding of procurement operations, including requisitions, sourcing events, suppliers, contracts, purchase orders, and invoicing.

• Experience in designing scalable solutions that adhere to Workday best practices.

• Proven track record with Workday enhancements, release management, and feature adoption.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Preferred Workday Pro Certifications in Procurement, Expenses, Reporting, or Integrations.

• Experience leading full lifecycle implementations across WSS, Expenses, Procurement, or VNDLY is preferred.

• Knowledge of financial accounting flows related to procurement is preferred.

• Ability to influence cross-functional partners and guide design decisions is preferred.

• Experience in large enterprise or global Workday environments is preferred.
