Solutions Architect – Platform, Cloud Infrastructure and Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, assisting them with their data engineering and data architecture requirements, particularly focusing on Databricks solutions.

• Design, construct, and implement comprehensive data solutions that capture, transform, and utilize data to enhance AI, ML, and business intelligence projects.

• Work in conjunction with sales teams to demonstrate technical solutions to potential clients, showcasing the benefits of SunnyData's offerings.

• Oversee multiple customer accounts, ensuring timely solution delivery and monitoring progress to report results.

• Architect data solutions while integrating best practices in data governance, security, and quality assurance.

• Assess data sources for their value, suggesting strategies for data inclusion that improve analytical processes.

• Lead internal teams, guiding and mentoring project teams to deliver solutions and educate end users on data products and analytics environments.

• Conduct system analysis, evaluate, and resolve data and system issues, applying necessary corrections.

• Test data movement, transformation code, and data components to ensure accuracy and reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience as a Solutions Architect with a background in Data Security or related fields.

• Proficiency in two or more of the following areas: Cloud Security, Cloud Networking, Encryption, Governance, Privacy, Trust, Safety, Authentication, Identity Management, Access Control, Key Management, Inter-Service Authentication, Secure Application Frameworks, Detection & Response.

• Experience designing data platforms on cloud infrastructures and services (AWS, Azure, or GCP), adhering to best practices in cloud security and networking.

• Expertise in Data Engineering technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka), the Databricks platform, cloud platforms, security, automation, networking, or identity management.

• Comprehensive understanding of the entire data analytics workflow (e.g., data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration) utilizing modern data engineering techniques.

• Capability to lead complex architecture requirements, facilitate solution design sessions, and create implementation architecture blueprints that can be executed by data engineering and analytics teams.

• Familiarity with SDLC tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Continuous Inspection tools like SonarQube, and Artifact Management tools like Artifactory.

• Proficient in Python, Java, or Scala.

• SQL expertise: Ability to write, debug, and optimize SQL queries.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in client-facing roles.

• Competence to create and present detailed presentations to clients and stakeholders.

• Experience in developing comprehensive solution documentation, including POCs, roadmaps, sequence diagrams, class hierarchies, and logical system views.

• Experience in leading teams and mentoring other engineers.

• Ability to translate end-to-end technical solutions into production, ensuring performance, security, scalability, and robust data integration.
