Solutions Architect Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design and propose innovative solution strategies that implement a technical vision aimed at ensuring customer mission success.

• Collaborate with account teams and customer stakeholders to uncover opportunities, refine opportunity definitions, and establish solution objectives.

• Direct the development of concepts of operations, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecture, system analysis and design, interfaces, data architectures, verification and validation, system integration, performance analysis, and life-cycle cost estimation.

• Assist in the technical review and readiness assessment of proposed technical solutions.

• Conduct technical analysis to uncover risks, issues, requirements, and opportunities, including tradeoff and alternatives analysis.

• Incorporate security and compliance considerations throughout the solution development life cycle.

• Coordinate with engineering leads, solution architects, and subject-matter experts to create and deliver solutions during proposal stages and contract execution.

• Transform requirements into comprehensive systems solutions that address technical, scheduling, cost, and organizational constraints of the customer.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Security, or an equivalent field, along with eighteen (18) years or more of relevant experience; a Master's degree with sixteen (16) years or more of experience may also be considered; additional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

• At least ten (10) years of experience in solutions development and implementation.

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience leading technical teams comprised of high-performance individuals.

• Proven track record in successfully bidding for and securing projects with Civilian Government agencies or equivalent entities.

• Advanced understanding of software engineering principles, methods, and techniques, including Agile/Scrum, SAFe/Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD methodologies.

• Practical experience in solution development within capture and proposal environments, as well as implementing solutions in active programs, culminating in the delivery of the final product.

• Experience in architecting solutions across one or more technical domains, such as IT infrastructure, system/application development and management, IT service delivery, cybersecurity, cloud management, data science, and digital/business transformation.

• Strong communication and writing skills, including the ability to produce polished customer-facing content and engage with customers about SAIC's capabilities, services, and solutions.

• Proficiency in proposal development, writing, and review, with the ability to effectively collaborate with account management.

• A history of successful collaboration across pre-sales or pre-award disciplines.

• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Ability to identify the technical skills of staff that support pre-award activities.

• Competence to lead and coordinate account, proposal, technical, and support team tasks throughout the pre-award process.

• Familiarity with Federal Government procurement processes; preferred experience includes OTAs, PTAG, and agile contracting.

• A talent for empowering and developing subordinates while communicating effectively with senior and executive management.
