This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +7 more states.
β’ Take charge of the complete technical strategy for accounts, from the initial discovery phase to production deployment and growth in consumption.
β’ Facilitate architectural discussions focused on scalable, production-grade solutions that encompass data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics.
β’ Provide guidance to customer architects, engineering leads, and Directors.
β’ Secure technical victories in competitive settings through customized solutions.
β’ Establish and declare a developing technical specialization.
β’ Collaborate with DSAs, SSAs, and partners to deliver all-encompassing customer solutions.
β’ Offer structured feedback from customers and competitors to shape product direction.
β’ Showcase Databricks platform solutions through design, live coding, debugging, solution development, and presentation interviews.
β’ Minimum of 6 years in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical position.
β’ Strong coding abilities in Python and SQL, including live coding, debugging, and solution creation.
β’ In-depth knowledge of distributed data systems architecture, scalable pipelines, streaming architectures, lakehouse patterns, and cloud-native data platforms.
β’ Proficiency in the Databricks Platform or the capability to achieve it quickly.
β’ Developing technical expertise in areas such as real-time/streaming, ML/AI, data governance, or migrations.
β’ Capacity to lead architectural discussions with senior technical stakeholders, including whiteboarding, design evaluations, and trade-off analysis.
β’ Experience with production deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP, encompassing infrastructure, security, and governance.
β’ Proven history of driving platform adoption and growth in consumption within accounts.
β’ Outstanding communication skills for conveying complex architectures in terms of business value.
β’ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.
β’ Databricks certifications, experience with competitive platforms, background in data/AI companies or cloud providers, and domain expertise are considered advantageous.
β’ If access to export-controlled technology or source code is necessary, employment may be contingent upon U.S. government license approval.
