Solutions Architect – Cloud, Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop AS-IS and TO-BE architectural models in accordance with VA-prescribed DoDAF/UAF formats

• Take ownership of the SAFe Architectural Runway and the Solution Architecture Package for each product

• Ensure alignment of designs with the VA Technical Reference Model, Zero Trust strategy, and VAEC/VA Platform One hosting

• Provide guidance on FHIR, ESB/EAI, API, and VALIP integration patterns

• Offer advice on cloud migration strategies

• Assist in ATO (Authorization to Operate) decision-making

• Contribute to DevSecOps maturity assessments

• Support decommissioning options

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 12 years of experience, with at least 10 years focused on enterprise or solution architecture for large federal programs

• Expert / Level IV or well-qualified Senior / Level III certification

• Proficient in DoDAF/UAF architecture models and solution architecture packages

• Experience in cloud and integration architecture with AWS, Azure, VAEC, FHIR, and ESB/API

• Background in VA or federal health architecture

• Familiarity with the VA TRM and Zero Trust strategy

• Experience in ATO processes and DevSecOps maturity assessments

• Knowledge of data platform architecture using Databricks and OpenShift

• Bachelor's degree is mandatory

• Certification as a SAFe Architect is required

• Red Hat Certified Engineer in Cloud-Native Applications certification is necessary

• Must be eligible to obtain a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust

• Must be capable of acquiring a VA PIV credential

• AWS or Azure Solutions Architect certification is preferred

• A Master's degree is preferred
