Solutions Architect – Cloud, Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop AS-IS and TO-BE architectural models in accordance with VA's prescribed DoDAF/UAF formats.

• Take ownership of the SAFe Architectural Runway.

• Manage the Solution Architecture Package for each product.

• Ensure designs are aligned with the VA Technical Reference Model, Zero Trust strategy, and VAEC/VA Platform One hosting.

• Provide guidance on FHIR, ESB/EAI, API, and VALIP integration patterns.

• Offer advice on cloud migration strategies.

• Assist with ATO decision-making processes.

• Contribute to DevSecOps maturity assessments.

• Support alternatives for decommissioning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience, including more than 10 years in enterprise or solution architecture for large federal programs.

• Expert / Level IV or well-qualified Senior / Level III experience level.

• Proficient in DoDAF/UAF architecture models and solution architecture packages.

• Knowledgeable in cloud and integration architecture, including AWS, Azure, VAEC, FHIR, and ESB/API.

• Bachelor's degree is mandatory.

• Master's degree is preferred.

• Must be eligible to obtain a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust.

• Must be able to secure a VA PIV credential.

• Possess a Certified SAFe Architect certification.

• Hold a Red Hat Certified Engineer in Cloud-Native Applications certification.

• AWS or Azure Solutions Architect certification is preferred.

• Familiarity with VA or federal health architecture is preferred.

• Knowledge of the VA TRM and Zero Trust strategy is preferred.

• Experience with ATO and DevSecOps maturity assessments is preferred.

• Data platform architecture experience with Databricks and OpenShift is preferred.
