This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Oversee the creation of enterprise technical architectures that support the systems, operations, data management, analytics, and mission objectives of the Census Bureau.
• Formulate technical strategies, technology solutions, architecture specifications, technical standards, and processes for solution development.
• Partner with experts in Agile delivery, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, cloud computing, data management, analytics, AI/ML, interoperability, and operations.
• Convert intricate architectures, cloud environments, data platforms, workflows, and technical concepts into comprehensive specifications, diagrams, and implementation guidance.
• Work in coordination with program managers, government personnel, engineers, and other contractors to guarantee solutions are maintainable, scalable, secure, high-performing, and cost-effective.
• Facilitate technical briefings, architecture assessments, management reviews, and documentation efforts that support disciplined program execution.
• Travel to the Washington, DC metropolitan area as necessary to assist with onsite meetings, program tasks, and customer needs.
• Assume additional duties and responsibilities as required to further team objectives and ensure the success of projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, systems engineering, software development, infrastructure, or enterprise technology.
• At least five years of experience in supporting or leading Agile development and DevSecOps delivery for U.S. Federal Government programs.
• Expert-level understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud environments, data management and analytics technologies, Agile methodologies, and DevSecOps delivery models.
• Experience in designing enterprise architectures that incorporate AI/ML capabilities, system interoperability, application integration, and complex data flows.
• Strong capability to convert technical concepts into detailed federal technical narratives, architecture diagrams, workflows, data-flow diagrams, and implementation standards.
• Outstanding communication, attention to detail, collaboration, relationship-building, and cross-functional technical leadership abilities.
• Extensive background in supporting Agile and SAFe software delivery environments.
• Previous experience in supporting the U.S. Census Bureau, Department of Commerce, or similar civilian federal modernization initiatives.
• Relevant architecture or cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or TOGAF.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
• All candidates selected must successfully pass a background check.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Government/Public Trust clearance, including necessary fingerprinting when required for the role.
• Must reside within the continental United States.
