Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assist customers and users in designing and constructing dependable, scalable systems utilizing MongoDB’s data platform.

• Create scalable and efficient applications, systems, and infrastructure for extensive software projects that harness MongoDB.

• Provide customers with guidance on architectural patterns and optimization strategies while articulating MongoDB’s business value.

• Collaborate with sales teams on account planning, opportunity prioritization and qualification, pipeline creation, technical discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.

• Drive demand through technical initiatives and participation in industry trade shows and account-based marketing events.

• Cultivate customer relationships, develop champions, and ensure customer success and satisfaction.

• Innovate and enhance MongoDB solutions and processes by sharing field feedback with the product team.

• Mentor fellow members of the Solutions Consulting team.

• Engage in continuous training and professional development.

• Assist customers with the MongoDB product suite, cloud, security, microservices, DevOps, and generative AI architectures.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of relevant industry experience, preferably including 2 years in a customer-facing role.

• At least 2 years of experience with contemporary scripting languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or well-known programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Java, C#) in a professional setting.

• Proven experience in implementing scalable and highly available distributed systems both in the cloud and on-premises.

• Demonstrated capability to review intricate application architectures with customers and offer technology guidance.

• Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to collaborate with a cross-functional sales team to develop and execute an end-to-end deal cycle.

• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

• Proficiency in both German and English is required.

• Experience with major cloud service providers.

• Background in a technical pre-sales role.

• Experience in database programming and data modeling.

• Involvement in data engineering or AI/ML projects.

• Familiarity with sales methodologies/frameworks such as MEDDPICC and Command of the Message.

• MongoDB Certification (desirable).

• Cloud Provider Certification (desirable).
