Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assist customers in designing and constructing reliable, scalable systems utilizing MongoDB’s data platform.

• Create scalable and high-performance applications, systems, and infrastructure for extensive software projects.

• Provide guidance to customers on MongoDB architecture patterns and optimization techniques while conveying business value.

• Work collaboratively with sales teams on account planning, opportunity qualification, pipeline development, technical discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.

• Drive demand through technical initiatives, trade shows, and account-based marketing events.

• Cultivate customer relationships, build advocates, and ensure customer success and satisfaction.

• Innovate and enhance MongoDB solutions and processes by communicating field feedback to product teams.

• Mentor fellow members of the Solutions Consulting team.

• Participate in continuous training and professional development.

• Achieve mastery of MongoDB products including Core Database Server, Atlas, Atlas Stream Processing, Atlas Data Lake, Atlas Full-Text Search, Atlas Vector Search, Charts, and Relational Migrator.

• Design systems using hyperscaler platforms and complementary technologies such as Apache Kafka and Kubernetes.

• Assist customers with microservices, DevOps, cloud, security, generative AI, and RAG architectures.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of relevant industry experience, with at least 2 years in a customer-facing position.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with modern scripting languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or popular programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Java, C#) in a professional environment.

• Experience in implementing scalable and highly available distributed systems both in the cloud and on-premises.

• Proven track record of collaborating with customers to review complex application architectures and provide technological guidance.

• Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to collaborate with a cross-functional sales team to design and implement an end-to-end deal cycle.

• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Proficiency in German and English is required.

• Preferred qualifications include experience with major cloud providers, technical pre-sales, database programming and data models, data engineering or AI/ML projects, sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC/Command of the Message, MongoDB Certification, and Cloud Provider Certification.
