This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Facilitate technical discovery workshops to gain insights into customer processes, desired outcomes, user needs, data, systems, constraints, and success metrics.
• Collaborate with the Engagement Manager, Sales, Presales, and customer representatives to outline actionable solution strategies.
• Design comprehensive architectures that encompass applications, data, integrations, AI, workflows, identity, security, and operations.
• Establish a clear solution vision, architecture principles, design choices, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.
• Oversee architecture documentation, technical specifications, interface designs, data models, decision logs, and implementation guidelines.
• Identify and confirm requirements related to security, performance, scalability, availability, traceability, usability, and supportability.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure alignment with sanctioned architecture, project scope, and customer outcomes.
• Offer daily technical guidance to consultants, developers, data and AI specialists, integration teams, QA professionals, and partners.
• Break down solutions into manageable work packages and assist with estimations, sequencing, dependencies, and work breakdown structures.
• Oversee the build, integration, data migration, testing, deployment, and transition processes to operations.
• Lead technical triage and root cause analysis for intricate cross-product or cross-domain challenges.
• Assist with release readiness, cutover planning, hypercare, and the transfer of architectural knowledge.
• Act as the primary technical advisor for customers, articulating architecture choices, trade-offs, risks, and implications.
• Foster decision-making among business, IT, security, architecture, and operational stakeholders.
• Manage customer expectations regarding feasibility, scope, dependencies, quality, and technical risks.
• Report on solution status, design decisions, and technical challenges to governance forums and executive stakeholders.
• Enhance customer capabilities through collaborative design, documentation, demonstrations, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with QA and delivery leadership on validation strategies and requirements coverage.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with architecture, integration, data, security, performance, and deployment.
• Evaluate the feasibility, impact, effort, schedule, and operational consequences of scope and design changes.
• Support change control and verify technical deliverables and acceptance criteria prior to stage gates and approvals.
• Assist in proposals, demonstrations, estimates, solution narratives, Statements of Work, and delivery plans.
• Contribute to reusable reference architectures, patterns, accelerators, templates, lessons learned, and technical standards.
• Maintain a practical understanding of Siemens offerings and relevant enterprise technologies.
• Mentor consultants and technical leads in architectural methodologies, design quality, documentation, and customer communication.
• Adhere to legal, commercial, information security, health and safety, and business conduct regulations.
• Extensive experience in designing and delivering enterprise software or digital transformation solutions.
• Proven technical leadership of multi-disciplinary implementation teams.
• Capability to lead solution definition throughout the build, integration, testing, deployment, and operations transition phases.
• Strong architecture expertise across applications, data, integrations, workflows, security, and non-functional requirements.
• Ability to convert business processes and desired outcomes into solution designs, implementation guidelines, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience in governing technical scope, design decisions, risks, dependencies, and changes across customer, partner, and distributed delivery teams.
• Exceptional skills in workshop facilitation, presentation, written communication, and technical storytelling for executive audiences.
• Ability to navigate uncertainty, assess trade-offs, and foster timely decision-making.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Willingness to travel and operate across customer locations and time zones as necessary.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Siemens Digital Industries Software, including ICX, SLC, Mendix, Teamcenter, NX, Opcenter, Graph Studio, AI Studio, or related offerings.
• Preferred: Experience in architecting multi-product solutions that integrate enterprise applications, industrial data, AI, low-code applications, and business workflows.
• Preferred: Background in complex enterprise settings such as industrial, manufacturing, aerospace and defense, automotive, electronics, semiconductor, or energy sectors.
• Preferred: Knowledge of cloud and hybrid architectures, APIs, integration patterns, data platforms, identity and access management, DevSecOps, or enterprise observability.
• Preferred: Experience in directing offshore, nearshore, partner, or systems-integrator teams.
• Preferred: Relevant architecture, cloud, platform, security, or Siemens product certifications.
