Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical aspects of new opportunities in collaboration with Account Executives from the initial call to achieving a technical win.

• Conduct discovery sessions to grasp prospects' use cases, architectural needs, data requirements, and success criteria.

• Create and present customized demos, sample applications, and prototypes.

• Design and facilitate workshops and proofs of concept with defined success criteria, timelines, and evaluation strategies.

• Propel proofs of concept towards a conclusive decision.

• Benchmark Exa regarding quality, latency, and cost in comparison to alternatives.

• Address technical objections and respond to inquiries related to security, compliance, and architecture.

• Engage Forward Deployed Engineers when additional expertise is required.

• Manage customer handoffs following deal closure.

• Provide market feedback to the Product team.

• Develop reusable presales resources, such as demo environments, reference architectures, and evaluation playbooks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of practical programming experience.

• 2+ years of experience in presales or technical sales roles.

• Proven ability to manage the technical aspects of deals, conducting discovery and demos with technical stakeholders, and facilitating opportunities to closure.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technologies.

• A history of high performance in challenging environments.

• Strong capacity for context-switching, navigating ambiguity, and maintaining sustained intensity.

• Willingness to travel as necessary for customer meetings and workshops.

• Previous experience as a solutions architect, solutions engineer, or sales engineer in a developer-tools, API, or AI company is a plus.

• Familiarity with LLMs, RAG, or agents is a plus.

• Experience in driving commercial outcomes is advantageous.
