Principal Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the architecture and design of intricate ServiceNow solutions across various products, business units, and integrations.

• Develop and enhance platform governance frameworks, architectural standards, and best practices.

• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to convert strategic objectives into secure, scalable ServiceNow solutions.

• Formulate enterprise integration and data strategies, including system interoperability, data governance, CMDB practices, and service mapping.

• Provide architectural guidance across ServiceNow initiatives to ensure security, regulatory compliance, and performance standards.

• Propel platform optimization, innovation, and the adoption of new ServiceNow functionalities.

• Mentor architects, developers, and platform administrators while fostering engineering excellence and knowledge sharing.

• Facilitate the execution of the ServiceNow platform roadmap by aligning architectural choices with enterprise strategy and quantifiable business outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in designing and architecting enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules, encompassing platform strategy, architecture roadmaps, scalability, resilience, and long-term platform value.

• Demonstrated experience as the technical authority for complex ServiceNow environments, including governance frameworks, architectural standards, design patterns, engineering best practices, and platform upgrade strategies.

• Expertise in designing secure and scalable enterprise integrations, comprising API, event-driven, and data architecture strategies, CMDB governance, authentication frameworks, and integration standards.

• Experience in leading large-scale ServiceNow transformation projects, including platform consolidations, migrations, modernization initiatives, technical debt reduction, and implementations across multiple business units.

• Experience collaborating with enterprise architects, business leaders, and technology executives to align platform capabilities with organizational priorities, digital transformation objectives, and risk management goals.

• Proven ability to enhance platform performance, reliability, security, compliance, Agile delivery, DevOps practices, release governance, and the adoption of out-of-the-box ServiceNow functionalities.

• Certified Technical Architect (CTA) certification.

• Preferred: Experience in architecting or leading implementations across advanced ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, CSM, FSO, GRC, and/or SPM.

• Preferred: Experience in architecting and governing CMDB and/or CSDM adoption at scale.

• Preferred: Hands-on experience with AI development tools within or connected to the ServiceNow platform.

• Preferred: Certified Application Developer (CAD), Certified System Administrator (CSA), and/or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications.
