Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate technical discovery discussions with the DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, and engineering leadership of prospects.

• Comprehend prospects' workflows in environment provisioning, release management, Terraform, Kubernetes, incident response, security, and compliance.

• Align prospect workflows with DuploCloud's 70/30 model.

• Recognize built-in platform functionalities alongside custom requirements specific to organizations.

• Create and develop custom agents utilizing the DuploCloud Coding Assistant and DevKit.

• Establish policy models, draft skills, and generate workflow user experiences.

• Present live demonstrations and scoped proofs of concept either on a laptop or within the prospect's cloud environment.

• Conduct infrastructure evaluations and create cost calculators, ROI plans, as well as migration and implementation strategies.

• Address technical objections, perform architecture and security evaluations, and engage in build-vs-buy discussions.

• Collaborate with the Onboarding and Forward Deployed Engineering teams for effective hand-offs.

• Relay field insights back to the Product and Engineering teams.

• Contribute reusable Agents, skills, and demo resources to the Agent library.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of proven experience as a solutions architect, cloud architect, DevOps/platform engineer, or SRE, including time interacting with customers and internal teams in pre-sales, consulting, or delivery roles.

• Solid hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP); familiarity with on-premises infrastructure is advantageous.

• Profound knowledge of Kubernetes, ECS, and comparable container orchestration solutions.

• Strong understanding of Terraform and similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies, along with CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Argo CD).

• Practical experience with AI coding assistants and agentic tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, or similar).

• Familiarity with MCP, skills/prompt design, and LLM trade-offs, including model selection, token costs, and human-in-the-loop controls.

• Demonstrated capability to conduct technical discovery and convert prospect workflows into scoped, demonstrable solutions.

• Skill in interpreting complex problem statements and simplifying them into actionable solutions while collaborating with prospects and channel partners.

• Strong presentation and storytelling abilities for both business and technical audiences.

• Capability to develop solution architectures, PoC plans, cost calculators, ROI models, and migration/implementation plans.

• Understanding of SOC 2, HIPAA, and PCI security and compliance standards as they relate to cloud infrastructure and AI-driven automation.

• Proficiency in scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Bash, Go) sufficient for building and debugging Agents, skills, and integrations.

• Experience in platform engineering/IDP tooling (e.g., Backstage), observability stacks, or early-stage startup environments.
