Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Spearhead technical interactions with hyperscale datacenter clients and compute/networking silicon suppliers.

• Develop new connections and foster enduring relationships with customers and vendors.

• Execute collaborative technical partnerships.

• Convert customer roadmaps and architectural needs into actionable directives for 3M's product and technology teams.

• Assess how emerging AI datacenter trends should influence the technology roadmap for 3M’s EBO program.

• Share AI datacenter insights with the wider datacenter team.

• Assist sales, applications engineering, and product development teams by providing technical context on customer architectures, use cases, and integration requirements.

• Create conceptual demonstrations and support technical marketing initiatives to showcase 3M EBO capabilities.

• Adhere to corporate policies, procedures, and security standards.

• Contribute to 3M’s Environmental Health and Safety culture by following safety protocols, identifying hazards, and participating in continuous improvement efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Optical/Photonics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another technical discipline, completed and verified before commencement.

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience collaborating with hyperscale datacenter clients, AI architectures, optical interconnect, or co-packaged optics (CPO) technologies.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status.

• A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical/Photonics Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.

• Experience directly engaging with XPU, compute, or switch vendors regarding system architecture and optical interconnect integration for AI/ML infrastructure.

• Excellent technical communication, customer-oriented mindset, self-motivation, relationship-building, innovation, and collaboration abilities.
