Solution Engineer – Post-Sales

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical implementation of Blumira's security platform for both new and existing clients.

• Design and develop post-sales security solutions that are customized to fit the specific needs and environments of customers.

• Offer hands-on technical support for integrations with current security tools and IT infrastructure.

• Resolve intricate technical challenges during the onboarding process and provide expert-level solutions.

• Conduct sessions for technical discovery, perform security assessments, and analyze customer environments.

• Develop tailored security roadmaps and implementation strategies.

• Collaborate with Customer Success Management to ensure a smooth onboarding process and ongoing customer success.

• Monitor customer health and engagement to identify opportunities for expansion and mitigate churn risks.

• Assist in the technical aspects of expansion discussions with Account Managers.

• Cultivate relationships with technical stakeholders and decision-makers.

• Convey customer feedback internally to influence product development priorities.

• Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, best-practice manuals, and implementation guides.

• Keep abreast of cybersecurity trends, threats, and developments in the industry.

• Engage in customer advisory sessions and initiatives for feedback.

• Mentor and share expertise with team members.

• Work collaboratively with security operations and technical support teams on reactive support opportunities.

• Diligently document customer interactions.

• Occasional travel may be necessary based on business requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Proven experience in successfully implementing security solutions.

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, focusing on SIEM, security monitoring, or incident response.

• At least 3 years in customer-facing technical positions such as Solution Engineering, Technical Account Management, or Security Operations.

• Strong knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, and threat detection technologies.

• Extensive technical expertise in the use, troubleshooting, and configuration of Cisco, Palo Alto, Watchguard, and/or Checkpoint firewalls.

• Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework, common IoCs and threats, prevalent SIEM solutions, and widely used EDR or XDR solutions in the security industry.

• Proficient in security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls) and compliance standards (SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA).

• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Project management experience with the capability to juggle multiple customer engagements simultaneously.

• Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container security.

• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and integration purposes.

• Strong technical understanding of common Linux and Windows administration tasks, configurations, troubleshooting, and best practices.

• Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, and security orchestration tools.

• Comprehension of DevSecOps practices and security automation.

• Background working with SMB to mid-market organizations, understanding their specific IT and security challenges.

• Experience with customer success metrics, health scoring, and value realization methodologies.

• Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value propositions.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Self-motivated and eager to learn while remaining collaborative and open to feedback.
