Solution Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients during the entire customer lifecycle.

• Facilitate discovery workshops, solution evaluations, requirements gathering sessions, and value assessments.

• Assist clients in aligning business challenges with Sphera solutions.

• Support customers in constructing business cases and validating investments through measurable value propositions.

• Counsel organizations on best practices in Operational Risk Management and strategies for digital transformation.

• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Sphera Control of Work solutions.

• Offer expertise in areas such as Permit to Work, Control of Work, Isolation Management, SIMOPS, Process Safety Management, Operational Risk Management, Barrier Management, Emergency Response, Risk Assessment, MRO, and Master Data Management.

• Conduct software demonstrations, technical presentations, executive briefings, workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements.

• Assist Account Executives, Regional Sales Managers, and leadership teams throughout the sales process.

• Transform customer requirements into actionable and scalable solution architectures.

• Collaborate with Account Executives on opportunity strategies and account plans.

• Facilitate pipeline growth, sales planning, cross-selling, and expansion opportunities.

• Keep opportunity and customer activity records updated in Salesforce CRM.

• Lead and manage responses to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and tenders.

• Create technical, functional, commercial, and value-driven proposal content.

• Assist in implementation planning, configuration, testing, validation, and deployment.

• Provide customer training and facilitate knowledge transfer sessions.

• Support customer adoption, value realization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Gather and relay customer and market feedback to Product Management.

• Aid in the validation of new product features and solution innovations.

• Represent Sphera as a subject matter expert in webinars, customer forums, conferences, and trade events.

• Contribute to white papers, articles, case studies, and industry publications.

• Advocate best practices in Operational Risk Management and Control of Work.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in Solution Engineering, Technical Pre-Sales, Enterprise Software Consulting, Customer Success, or Operational Risk Management solutions.

• Proven track record in supporting enterprise SaaS applications.

• Demonstrated success in developing responses for RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and tenders.

• Experience with Salesforce CRM.

• Preferred experience with Sphera Control of Work (CoW), Advanced Risk Assessment (ARA), Master Data Management (MDM), Process Safety Management, or Operational Risk Management platforms.

• Industry experience in Mining & Resources, Energy & Utilities, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Manufacturing, Infrastructure, or Heavy Industry.

• Outstanding communication and presentation skills.

• Strong capabilities in business analysis and solution consulting.

• Ability to translate technical ideas into business value.

• Strategic mindset and commercial awareness.

• Excellent stakeholder management skills.

• Customer-centric approach.

• Willingness to travel within Australia.

• Occasional travel throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
