Solution Architect – Data Integration, Part-Time Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Convert the billing framework in Zuora into actionable data requirements for the integration team.

• Spearhead business analysis for areas not addressed by Zuora’s professional services, such as custom billing rules, revenue recognition, and reporting.

• Assist finance and business stakeholders in transitioning from a legacy accounting system to Zuora.

• Offer clear guidance throughout the transformation process at every step.

• Decode Zuora’s data model and billing logic to facilitate the work of the integration team.

• Serve as a partial platform advisor instead of a full platform administrator.

• Enable decision-making and trade-off discussions with the controller and finance stakeholders.

• Ensure continuous stakeholder communication and technical context during any planned handovers or coverage periods.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

• Demonstrated experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and conducting gap analysis.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the subscription and billing domain, including recurring revenue, invoicing, and the payment lifecycle.

• Data literacy, with the capability to interpret pipeline logic, validate data flows, and perform quality assurance on outputs.

• Skills in stakeholder facilitation, including leading workshops, creating decision documents, and presenting trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Previous experience with ERP or accounting system migration or transformation.

• Capability to independently ramp up and understand a new billing platform’s data model and business context with minimal supervision.

• Advanced proficiency in Conversational English.

• Strong executive communication skills suitable for direct interactions with a US-based controller and finance team.

• Familiarity with the Zuora platform, particularly in billing, revenue, and CPQ modules, is a plus.

• Awareness of the GCP ecosystem, including BigQuery, Looker, and Data Studio, is desirable.

• Knowledge of change management frameworks like ADKAR or Kotter is a plus.

• Zuora Certified Administrator or Revenue Analyst certification is an advantage.
