Solution Architect – Data Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Convert Zuora's billing model into actionable data requirements for the integration team.

• Oversee business analysis for areas not addressed by Zuora's professional services, such as custom billing rules, revenue recognition, and reporting.

• Assist finance and business stakeholders in transitioning from a legacy accounting system to Zuora.

• Analyze Zuora's data model and billing logic to assist the integration team, acting as a partial platform advisor instead of a full platform administrator.

• Facilitate decision-making and trade-off discussions with the controller and finance stakeholders.

• Ensure consistent communication with stakeholders and maintain technical context during any planned handover or coverage period.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

• Demonstrated experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and gap analysis.

• In-depth knowledge of the subscription and billing domain, encompassing recurring revenue, invoicing, and the payment lifecycle.

• Data literacy, with the capability to read pipeline logic, validate data flows, and conduct quality assurance on outputs.

• Strong stakeholder facilitation skills, including conducting workshops, creating decision documentation, and presenting trade-offs for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Previous experience with ERP or accounting system migration or transformation.

• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to a new billing platform's data model and business context with minimal oversight.

• Proficient in Advanced Conversational English.

• Strong communication skills suitable for executive-level interactions, with fluency to engage directly with a US-based controller and finance team.

• Familiarity with the Zuora platform, specifically in billing, revenue, and CPQ modules.

• Awareness of the GCP ecosystem, including BigQuery, Looker, and Data Studio.

• Knowledge of change management frameworks such as ADKAR or Kotter.

• Possession of a Zuora Certified Administrator or Revenue Analyst certification.
