Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop frameworks aimed at enhancing and securing the design and development processes.

• Work collaboratively with architects and developers to deliver effective security services.

• Conduct risk analysis while documenting risks and the corresponding mitigating controls within application environments.

• Engage with clients, business analysts, and development teams to gather business requirements and translate them into actionable technical solutions.

• Design and construct comprehensive architectures for complex software systems, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and secure.

• Assess and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to fulfill project needs.

• Produce architectural blueprints, diagrams, and documentation for stakeholders.

• Support development teams throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

• Carry out code reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with architectural standards.

• Identify and address technical risks and challenges effectively.

• Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, consistently recommending improvements.

• Foster a culture of respect and uphold a courteous work environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience with at least three of the following areas: Security Architecture, threat modeling, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, penetration testing, cloud security, mobile security, and network security.

• Advanced expertise and understanding of security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, or application security.

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Azure Cybersecurity Expert, or equivalent are highly preferred.

• Strong familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud, along with their security features.

• Comprehensive understanding of cloud security principles, best practices, and industry frameworks, including CSA, CIS, NIST, and ISO.

• Experience with security assessment tools, techniques, and methodologies.

• Proven experience in integrating security into CI/CD solutions, such as GitHub Actions.

• Working knowledge of application security standards, particularly OWASP.

• Familiarity with threat models, security design, and application environments.

• Proficiency in various programming languages and frameworks, such as Java, .NET, Python, or JavaScript.

• Experience with cloud platforms and microservices architecture.

• Demonstrated success as a Solution Architect or in a similar capacity, with a solid background in software development.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, along with strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Capacity to collaborate effectively with clients, business analysts, and development teams.
