This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Deliver timely, professional, and high-quality service to clients.
• Manage a busy and diverse caseload that encompasses both contentious and non-contentious regulatory matters for various clients.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, adhering to established client protocols.
• Support business development efforts by preparing and presenting pitches, presentations, and training events.
• Oversee file management following firm and client protocols, including billing, credit control, work in progress, file closures, and management information.
• Take ownership of quality control and ensure benchmark compliance within your own caseload.
• Maintain an understanding of other practice areas and cultivate an active internal network.
• Enhance technical expertise through training, relevant publications, and surpassing Law Society Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
• Provide advice to individuals and organizations undergoing criminal investigations and prosecutions related to corporate homicide, health and safety, fire safety, food safety, and environmental law.
• Counsel on product safety matters and represent clients involved in Fatal Accident Inquiries.
• Minimum of 5 years PQE with experience gained in a regulatory and/or commercially oriented setting, whether in private practice or other fields.
• Preferably, experience in advising on regulatory issues including HSE/Police investigations, witness interviews, interviews under caution, prosecutions, sentencing hearings, and inquiries.
• Experience with environmental breaches, trading standards, product safety, food safety, and fire safety is advantageous.
• Proven background in business development and establishing client relationships.
• Willingness to travel on short notice to assist clients at their locations.
• A valid driving license is essential.
• Outstanding legal drafting, analytical, and technical abilities.
