This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Collaborate within a Property Recoveries team, primarily focusing on claimant-based responsibilities.
• Perform general recovery tasks and investigative work on fast, intermediate, and multi-track files.
• Examine liability on claims related to water escape, flooding, impact, and fire damage.
• Manage an independent caseload, which includes negotiating quantum and settling damages with third parties.
• Collect witness statements and necessary documentation.
• Compose letters of claim and initiate proceedings.
• Oversee disclosure, engage Counsel and experts, and advance files through to trial.
• Assist in marketing and business development initiatives.
• Stay informed about the firm’s core strategies and objectives.
• Handle confidential information in accordance with data security protocols.
• Adhere to client and internal billing as well as credit-control procedures.
• Manage financial aspects of personal files.
• Meet key annual performance metrics, including a minimum target of 1,440 billable hours per year.
• Engage in marketing and client-facing activities to foster business development and career advancement.
• 0-4 years PQE Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer.
• Must be a Solicitor or CILEX Litigator, or possess significant pre-qualification experience.
• Demonstrated interest in and eagerness to learn about insurance property damage law, including foundational concepts of contract law and tort.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, intermediaries, and colleagues.
• Capability to critically evaluate factual evidence, discern key legal arguments, and apply them effectively.
• Display commitment and enthusiasm with a professional demeanor.
