
Solar Lead Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead design project teams comprising 2–6 individuals, including design engineers, CAD technicians, and system studies engineers.
• Create optimized utility-scale solar designs that are ready for construction.
• Generate solar PV design and construction packages, which encompass solar array layouts, electrical one-lines, collection systems, collection system studies, and equipment installation details.
• Engage directly with clients to ensure successful project execution.
• Evaluate and ensure the quality of designs in accordance with internal standards, industry best practices, and client specifications.
• Serve as the signing engineer for photovoltaic electrical designs.
• Assist in the formulation of internal solar engineering standards, toolsets, and workflow processes.
• Conduct site visits and meetings to fulfill client requests and enhance relationships.
• Aid in early-stage project development through conceptual designs and material take-offs.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Electrical PE license is required or the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months.
• Over 7 years of experience in the solar industry or power generation.
• Proficiency with solar design software programs such as CYMCAP, PVFARM, SAM, and PVsyst.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to all levels.
• Proficient in managing projects, tasks, and client relationships.
• Experience in estimating or designing electrical systems is essential.
• Familiarity with photovoltaic systems, NEC requirements, and construction practices is highly preferred.
• Must possess the ability to work permanently in the US.
