This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Analyze requirements and acceptance criteria to pinpoint ambiguous requirements, overlooked scenarios, edge cases, and potential risks.
• Develop, sustain, and execute test cases that encompass expected outcomes, failures, regressions, and authentic user workflows.
• Leverage Claude Code for generating and enhancing test scenarios, identifying edge cases, diagnosing defects, comprehending application behavior, and aiding in automated testing.
• Craft and refine prompts for AI-assisted testing, analysis, and code generation.
• Evaluate and validate tests, analyses, and code produced by AI.
• Adhere to HIPAA and data-handling protocols; utilize synthetic, mocked, or de-identified data and escalate any potential needs for production data or PHI.
• Detect, document, and monitor defects with detailed reproduction steps, expected and actual outcomes, supporting evidence, and context.
• Examine issues using SQL, browser developer tools, application logs, APIs, source code, automated tests, and AI-assisted analysis.
• Employ SQL for data validation and to investigate application behaviors.
• Collaborate with QA Automation Engineers to prioritize and occasionally develop and maintain Playwright automated tests.
• Contribute automated tests to the CI/CD pipeline.
• Partner with engineers to reproduce issues, validate solutions, comprehend root causes, and evaluate regression impacts.
• Assist with accessibility testing in accordance with WCAG and Section 508, applying security-aware testing methodologies.
• Provide updates on testing progress, blockers, risks, and concerns.
• Monitor testing activities, defects, and test coverage using Jira and XRay.
• Cultivate an understanding of products, customers, QA practices, the software development lifecycle, and the Health and Human Services domain.
• Progress toward independently managing testing methodologies and quality evaluations for product features and areas.
• 0–5 years of experience in software quality assurance, software testing, software development, or equivalent demonstrated technical skills.
• Proficient in SQL with the ability to write queries for data validation and application behavior investigation.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly when documenting unexpected or complex software behaviors.
• Capability to translate requirements and user workflows into meaningful test scenarios that include edge cases and failure conditions.
• Eagerness to explore unfamiliar features, systems, and technical issues.
• Comfort with AI-assisted engineering tools, including the ability to write clear and specific prompts.
• Sound judgment in refining AI prompts and verifying AI-generated suggestions, tests, analyses, and code.
• Awareness of responsible data handling and the protection of PHI and sensitive customer information.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools or frameworks and a desire to enhance automation skills.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and automated testing within development and deployment pipelines.
• A collaborative mindset when working with product managers, engineers, and Software QA Engineers.
• Experience with issue and test management tools like Jira and XRay, or the capacity to learn them rapidly.
• Must comply with HIPAA and data-handling regulations during testing and investigations.
• Helpful but not mandatory: Experience with Playwright or a similar browser automation framework.
• Helpful but not mandatory: Familiarity with Claude Code using Playwright, including Claude Playwright CLI or MCP-based workflows.
• Helpful but not mandatory: Experience in API testing.

• Helpful but not mandatory: Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.
• Helpful but not mandatory: Proficiency with browser developer tools, application logs, or other debugging techniques.
• Helpful but not mandatory: Experience in accessibility testing, including WCAG or Section 508.
