This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Utilize hands-on expertise in software, firmware, and digital hardware to tackle technically challenging engineering tasks related to real physical systems.
β’ Analyze and assess embedded firmware, FPGA/RTL designs, flight software, test automation frameworks, hardware interfaces, and system-level engineering processes.
β’ Evaluate architectural and implementation trade-offs concerning real-time performance, timing, memory, computational resources, interfaces, reliability, fault management, concurrency, and hardware/software integration.
β’ Determine the technical accuracy, robustness, and practical viability of engineering solutions for embedded and hardware-connected systems in real-world applications.
β’ Identify implementation mistakes, incorrect assumptions, race conditions, timing challenges, interface failures, resource limitations, and other potential system-level failure modes.
β’ Create or assess technically rigorous engineering problems, reference implementations, test scenarios, evaluation metrics, and accompanying technical documentation.
β’ Leverage practical experience in development, integration, hardware bring-up, debugging, verification, validation, test automation, and deployment processes.
β’ Offer clear technical feedback based on real-world engineering experience and constraints of production hardware.
β’ Contribute to the enhancement of how advanced AI systems understand embedded development, hardware/software integration, digital design, real-time systems, testing, and debugging.
β’ Collaborate remotely with seasoned engineers and researchers on projects aimed at training and advancing AI systems.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software, firmware, FPGA, or embedded systems engineering.
β’ At least 3 years of recent hands-on experience in developing, integrating, testing, bringing up, or troubleshooting software/firmware on actual hardware.
β’ Experience serving as the lead engineer for production hardware-connected software or firmware, managing key aspects of the lifecycle from requirements and architecture to implementation, integration, hardware bring-up, verification, validation, debugging, and deployment.
β’ In-depth technical knowledge in at least one core area: embedded firmware and real-time systems; FPGA/RTL design and verification; flight software and safety/mission-critical systems; or hardware test automation and hardware-in-the-loop infrastructure.
