Software Engineering Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary escalation point for software development challenges.

• Draft and assess comprehensive specifications for system components.

• Address intricate bug fixes.

• Convert product requirements into software architectural designs.

• Establish development processes, adhere to coding best practices, and conduct code reviews.

• Collaborate with stakeholders in Agile, Waterfall, and various other development frameworks.

• Guide and mentor junior software engineers.

• Monitor technological advancements and manage complex data models.

• Conduct interviews, recruit, train, assign, direct, and evaluate team members.

• Provide training, resources, feedback, coaching, and oversee performance management.

• Foster an environment that encourages innovation and new ideas.

• Promote accountability and responsibility among staff members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Software Engineering.

• A Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience is mandatory.

• In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.

• Extensive experience with Managed Services and/or Staff Augmentation resource models.

• Strong understanding of best practices for external resource development.

• Capability to lead both internal and external technology resources.

• Proficiency in test-driven development and strong research abilities.

• Expertise in data manipulation languages and optimization techniques.

• Familiarity with normalized and dimensional data modeling.

• Skill in designing and working with complex data models.

• Knowledge of various data storage subsystems.

• Proficient in Java, Python, XML, Linux/UNIX, SQL, and scripting languages.

• Awareness of development best practices and relevant tool sets.

• Strong skills in business objective-setting, project planning, time management, change management, and delegation.

• Experience in complex problem-solving and troubleshooting.

• Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
