Software Engineering Intern – Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Deliver technically demanding projects from start to finish in a dynamic, iterative environment.

• Drive the business forward while understanding the influence of your work on business metrics and user experience.

• Take ownership of features, services, caches, and databases, including their deployment, monitoring, debugging, and testing.

• Produce production-ready, well-tested code starting from your first week.

• Conduct data-driven experiments for product launches.

• Collaborate on frontend and backend components, multiple services, and various codebases.

• Engage in a microservices architecture utilizing Python/FastAPI, React/TypeScript, Postgres, Redis, GitLab, AWS/Kubernetes, Datadog, Amplitude, and Snowflake.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 months of experience in web development.

• Familiarity with a modern frontend JavaScript framework such as React, Vue, or Angular.

• Experience with web servers.

• Proven ability to take responsibility and deliver complete features from beginning to end.

• Enthusiasm for working on both frontend and backend components.

• Interest in using React for frontend development and Python for backend development.

• Currently enrolled in a college, university, or educational institution.

• Availability to work 40 hours per week.

• Must maintain at least a 6-hour overlap with the Eastern Time Zone.

• Availability during core working hours from 9/10 am–5/6 pm EST, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility.

• Must reside in Canada for the duration of the internship.
