Software Engineering Intern – Infrastructure, DevOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Become a part of Super.com’s infrastructure engineering team

• Engage with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and Istio

• Facilitate the acceleration of company development through more rapid, secure, and frequent deployments

• Enhance developer productivity and satisfaction by improving development tools and workflows

• Contribute to initiatives aimed at cost savings and infrastructure enhancements

• Implement automated monitoring and alerting systems to identify errors and performance challenges early

• Work with AWS, containerized Python/JavaScript microservices, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, Datadog, Incident.IO, Postgres, Redis, GitLab, Bash, and Docker

• Collaborate with full-time developers on essential projects that are deployed and utilized

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–16 months of relevant experience

• Familiarity and comfort with POSIX-based operating systems

• Previous experience using Docker and understanding its purpose and the problems it addresses

• Knowledge of cloud network services, including VPC, IP, TCP, DNS, and HTTP

• A keen interest in automating repetitive manual tasks

• Capability to identify and minimize waste in financial resources, time, and CPU cycles

• Quick learning ability across various programming languages and technologies

• Currently enrolled in a college, university, or educational institution

• An unofficial grade report is required

• Availability for a full 40-hour work week

• Minimum 6-hour overlap with the Eastern Time Zone

• Ability to work during core hours from 9/10 am to 5/6 pm EST, Monday to Friday, except for pre-approved time off
