This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Design, secure, and protect containerized application infrastructure across small form factor edge computing and cloud environments.
• Lead efforts in threat modeling, vulnerability management, and conducting security reviews.
• Assess and implement tools that enhance system security and reliability while ensuring developer efficiency.
• Develop and sustain automated, reproducible frameworks for provisioning and installation that transition hardware and cloud hosts from bare metal to secure, mission-ready baselines.
• Facilitate provisioning in air-gapped and disconnected settings.
• Manage the lifecycle of secrets, keys, and certificates, encompassing issuance, distribution, rotation, and revocation.
• Optimize resource utilization and fortify systems against restricted or compromised network conditions for mobile and web clients.
• Comprehend, execute, and document the security controls necessary for DoD and Intelligence Community software accreditation and certification.
• Influence CX2’s security architecture and engineering culture.
• Contribute to the delivery of electromagnetic warfare capabilities.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in building, securing, and managing software infrastructure at the edge, on-premises, or in the cloud.
• Solid foundation in cybersecurity, including system and network hardening, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Extensive knowledge of containerization technologies, particularly Docker and Docker Compose, focusing on image creation and hardening, container networking and storage, runtime isolation, and securing images and registries.
• Practical experience with provisioning and configuration management frameworks such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or SaltStack.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Experience in secrets management and PKI, including HashiCorp Vault, OpenBao, AWS KMS, SOPS, and TPM- or HSM-backed keys.
• Advanced proficiency in Linux administration and security, covering SELinux, AppArmor, firewalls, auditing, and disk encryption.
• Willingness to work extended hours to meet mission-critical deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Applicants must be U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, or eligible to obtain the necessary authorizations from the U.S. Department of State to comply with U.S. Government export regulations.
