Software Engineer, Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant product surfaces from start to finish, encompassing problem identification, design, implementation, launch, assessment, and ongoing maintenance.

• Enhance Editor workflows, facilitate self-service signup-to-renewal journeys, or improve Underlord capabilities.

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to define interactions, identify constraints, select metrics, and streamline user outcomes.

• Develop responsive and dependable full-stack systems utilizing technologies such as TypeScript, React, NodeJS, Temporal, and various integrations.

• Formulate hypotheses, instrument your work, deploy incrementally, and analyze outcomes.

• Elevate tooling, standards, testing, observability, and release practices.

• Offer architectural guidance, conduct thorough code reviews, mentor colleagues, and produce clear technical documentation.

• Work closely with product, design, and engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in building and delivering customer-facing products.

• Proven track record of delivering end-to-end features that have measurably enhanced user or business outcomes.

• Proficient in leveraging agents to amplify impact and critically considering the use of AI.

• Experience managing features/experiments from conception to launch.

• Skilled in utilizing analytics and metrics to assess impact.

• Ability to quickly navigate unfamiliar systems through exploration and thoughtful inquiry.

• Strong commitment to user experience and software quality.

• Capable of bringing clarity to ambiguous tasks and simplifying product and technical complexities.

• Rigorous validation practices using reproductions, logs, tests, and other forms of evidence.

• Relevant experience with TypeScript, HTML/CSS, React, Redux, Node.js, API design, Temporal Workflows, and SQL.

• Familiarity with editors, media products, creative tools, or payment systems is advantageous.

• Experience in building agents or experimenting with media-generation models is beneficial.

• Background in experimentation and product analytics is a plus.

• Knowledge of shaders, graphics rendering, audio/visual effects, and media formats is helpful.
