Software Engineer – Node.js, Python, Go

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage scalable systems in a production environment.

• Assume complete ownership of projects from inception to completion instead of handling isolated tasks.

• Create comprehensive full-stack and platform engineering solutions.

• Construct human-in-the-loop systems, fraud detection frameworks, data infrastructure, and intricate operational workflows.

• Address challenges related to scalability and reliability.

• Collaborate closely with research, product, and design teams to expedite delivery while upholding quality standards.

• Contribute to essential infrastructure utilized throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong foundational knowledge in Node.js and TypeScript, Python, and/or Go.

• In-depth comprehension of distributed systems, scalability obstacles, and system architecture.

• Experience with cloud platforms — GCP or AWS — along with Kubernetes, APIs, and NoSQL databases.

• Capacity to evaluate trade-offs and balance the need for speed with reliability in high-pressure situations.

• An active GitHub profile featuring real, significant projects.

• Proactive mindset towards identifying challenges and implementing solutions.

• Strong inclination towards straightforward solutions for complex issues.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• A clear and compelling rationale for wanting to join a startup and engage in this field.

• Previous experience as a founding engineer in a high-growth startup (preferred).

• Background as a former founder of a technically advanced product (preferred).

• Experience at a leading quantitative trading firm (preferred).

• Proven ability to excel in fast-paced startup environments, supported by references (preferred).
