Software Engineer – New Grad

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and deploy production features utilized by healthcare providers.

• Engage in backend services, APIs, and frontend systems throughout the Hipp platform.

• Design and create scalable systems that underpin Hipp’s AI-native EMR and billing platform.

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to produce high-quality features.

• Write clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code.

• Participate in code reviews and engineering discussions to enhance team performance.

• Take responsibility for significant projects from conception to deployment.

• Contribute to the architecture, systems, and foundational product elements as a member of Hipp’s early engineering team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language: TypeScript / JavaScript, Python, Go, or Java.

• Knowledge of modern web development technologies, including React, Node.js, and APIs.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and eagerness to learn new technologies.

• Capability to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

• Employer-sponsored work authorization may be necessary; applicants must respond to the United States sponsorship question.

• Preferred: experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Preferred: familiarity with distributed systems or microservices.

• Preferred: experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.

• Preferred: personal projects, open-source contributions, or startup experience.

• Preferred: interest in AI systems, healthcare technology, or data platforms.
